Our School has a very strong music program with music specialists based at the school, co-ordinating a wide variety of opportunities for our pupils.
The purpose of instrumental music at Kenmore South is to provide opportunities to students to experience the joy of making and understanding music.

Band program: flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto and tenor saxophones, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone horn, euphonium, tuba and percussion including drums, melodic percussion and auxiliary percussion. This program is offered to students from Year 4
Strings program: violin, viola, cello and double bass. This program is offered to students from Year 3. A wind and percussion band and various string ensembles are formed in which instrumental students can develop their skills in a fun atmosphere under the guidance of their teachers. These ensembles prepare the children for various public performance opportunities.
Choirs: rehearse throughout the year and participate in various music competitions and festivals.
