We have nearly reached the half way mark
for this term. It is great to be back to five full
school days this week. Regular attendance
at school has a major influence on
educational outcomes, so it is very
important that your child regularly attends
school, giving them the best opportunities to be successful in their learning. As parents
we can encourage our children to attend school by having we can encourage our children to attend school by having a positive attitude to learning and their education. Some tips that parents can use to support your child’s attendance include:- If your child misses ten days of school their attendance will be sitting at 95% attendance.
 
Our goal at Kenmore South is for our students to be in attendance 100% of the school term. We understand that at times students are unwell and do require to be at home to recover and recuperate to ensure they are healthy and ready for learning however we would encourage parents to refrain from taking days off during the term unnecessarily. Displayed in the table is our current attendance data.

Mother’s Day
Next Sunday will be Mother’s Day, to our
wonderful mothers at Kenmore South, I
hope you have a lovely day on Sunday and
that you thoroughly enjoy the wonderful gifts
from your children. Many thanks to our
fantastic P&C volunteers, who worked very
hard leading up to Mother’s Day with our Mother’s Day stall.
Students will be able to purchase a gift on Friday the 12 May for
their Mums. To all of our mums - we want to remind you that
you are amazing for all the wonderful things you do for your
children.
